Courtney Smith i s a Licensed Professional Counselor. She graduated from Lewis University with a Master’s Degree i n Clinical Mental Health Counseling where she specialized i n working with children and adolescents. Courtney completed her clinical training at the Orland Township’s Youth & Family Services Department, i n which she spent a great deal of time working with children, adolescents, and teens. In therapy, Courtney uses Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and i ncorporates play and art within her sessions. She has experience working with children and adolescents who struggle with Anxiety, ADHD, anger management, family conflicts, adjustments at home or school, social challenges, emotion regulation, grief and l oss, developmental delays, Autism, and i ntellectual disabilities. When she isn’t working, Courtney enjoys spending time with her children, taking her dogs on walks, crafting, cooking, and baking.
