Erin is very excited to be a new member of the Healing Center!
Erin specializes in working with children of all ages with various issues, including special needs, anxiety, trauma, depression, ADHD, behavior difficulties, and grief.
Erin is currently a school social worker for a special education program specializing in teaching life skills, community skills, communication, and social/emotional skills, to children with various disabilities, including autism, down syndrome, developmental disabilities, communication limitations, and physical impairments.
Before working with the Healing Center, Erin worked for an early intervention program as a developmental specialist specializing in working with teen parents and at-risk families on the Southside of Chicago. Erin also worked for the Department of Children and Family Services as a Child Protection Investigator and a Child Welfare Specialist. Erin also has experience working as a school social worker for various special education programs. Erin is a licensed social worker, licensed school social worker, and a safety care trainer and has various DCFS certifications.
Erin studied Clinical Counseling Psychology at Saint Xavier University, where she received her Bachelors in Arts. Erin also has her Master in Social Work from Aurora University, specializing in school social work and child development.
Erin likes to spend time with her family during her free time, including many nieces and nephews! Erin also loves sports and spends her time cheering for the Cubs, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, and Michigan State University.
