Kristyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor and received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University. Kristyn completed her clinical internship counseling children and adolescents from Kindergarten to High School in a local school district. Kristyn uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and play therapy and tailors treatment creatively to each individual and their goals. She emphasizes providing an empathetic, positive, and safe space for each client, while also working to develop essential skills and discover and grow personal strengths. Kristyn has experience working with children and adolescents who are managing anxiety disorders, ADHD, depression, behavior problems, stress, and lack of self-esteem. Kristyn loves animals and the outdoors and likes to spend her free time exploring nature with her pets and horseback riding.
