Hi everyone! My name is Maddie, and I am an intern at The Healing Center. I graduated from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. From the beginning of my college journey, I felt drawn to the field of psychology, though it took exploring several different paths to discover that my true passion lies in working with children and teenagers.
This internship has provided me with invaluable opportunities to learn, practice, and grow into the therapist I aspire to be. As I continue developing my clinical identity, I find myself particularly connected to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy. Regardless of the modality, I strive to offer an empathetic, safe, and nonjudgmental space for every client I meet.
I am currently in my final semester of my Master’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am working toward earning my counseling license. I’m excited to be approaching the end of this chapter and looking forward to beginning my work as a professional counselor.
