Maria is a licensed professional counselor who earned her Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Benedictine University. Maria has worked in a variety of settings such as inpatient, residential, nonprofit, domestic violence, and private practice which have provided a substantial knowledge to provide evidence based therapy to ensure clients are getting their needs met. Maria has worked with presenting concerns such as mood disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD. Her therapeutic approach is client-centered: a compassionate, warm, and collaborative approach to connect with clients and understand their goals to improve their quality of life. Maria’s work is greatly influenced by her background in CBT, DBT, behavior modification, and positive psychology. In her free time, Maria likes being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and traveling to learn about different cultures.
