Savannah Straw

Savannah is a masters level intern at the Healing Center. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Olivet Nazarene University and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. Savannah has experience working with children and families in an educational setting as an elementary education teacher and as a reading interventionist.
Savannah is committed to helping children, teens, and young adults acquire necessary skills to achieve their goals in their daily lives. As a master’s level intern, Savannah is focused on continuing to build her knowledge base on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, play and art activities to help individuals acquire the necessary skills to achieve their goals. Savannah strives to create an accepting, warm, and exploratory environment for all clients.
In her free time, she loves spending time with friends and family, traveling, reading, and running.
