Taryn is a Licensed Social Worker with a master's degree from Aurora University. Taryn completed two internships at The Healing Center, working with both groups and individuals. She has experience with adults, teens, adolescents, and children.
Taryn is open-minded, empathetic, kind, and patient. She works very hard to ensure she fosters a safe and accepting environment for each client. She specializes in anxiety, depression, anger management, grief, and family conflicts. Taryn believes therapy should be a safe, empowering space where you feel heard, understood, and supported—without judgment. She takes pride in meeting clients where they are, using curiosity, compassion, and humor to make therapy feel approachable and welcoming. She uses a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
In her free time, Taryn enjoys walking, spending time with family and friends, and reading!
