Janette Johnson is a Licensed Social Worker. She graduated from Governors State University with a Bachelor’s
in Psychology and her Master of Social Work with a Child and Family specialization. Janette has over 7 years of
experience in the mental health field working with children, adolescents, teens, and adults. Her goal in
therapy is to provide a safe and open place for her clients to speak freely. Janette utilizes a variety of
therapeutic techniques during her sessions including but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, Mindfulness and Solution Focused Therapy. Janette has
worked with individuals struggling with Anxiety, Depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD),
Adjustment Disorders, anger management, behavior problems, low self-esteem, and parent-child conflict.
