Nina Polignone is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She graduated from Lewis University with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health counseling where she specialized in working with children and adolescents. Nina has worked in a variety of mental health settings such as inpatient, PHP/IOP outpatient, residential care, non for profit organizations, and private practice.
Nina works primarily with children and adolescents, where she uses Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Nina has experience with adolescents/children who struggle with Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, self-harm injury, Anger management, family conflicts, school challenges, stress management, emotion regulation, suicidal ideation, low self-esteem, and grief. Nina is a very gentle, respectful, empathetic, and patient individual. Nina fosters a supportive, safe, accepting, trusting, and fun environment where clients feel willing and safe to open up about their challenges they have been struggling with. Nina recognizes that she must have patience to walk with clients through their struggles so they can find their way to a healthier life.
Nina loves to cook, spend time with her nephew, exploring different types of cuisine, and spending time outdoors in her free time! Also, she loves animals!
