Sarah Toepper is a Licensed Professional Counselor with her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and holds a Bachelors Degree in Child Development. Sarah completed her clinical training here at The Healing Center and continues to work with children, teens and families.
Sarah uses a collaborative approach to treatment to aid clients in developing healthy coping skills, strengthening their social and emotional health, and empowerment to understand and manage their emotions, behaviors, and social interpersonal relationships.
Sarah uses a holistic approach with techniques from a strengths-based model, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), mindfulness, play and art activites to help to identify and work through the challenges clients are facing, gaining insight into barriers, and finding solutions to improve the quality of their own health and relationships.
Sarah works with clients who have experienced ADHD,Adjustment Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma/Adverse Experiences, Low Self-Esteem, Stress Management, Life Transitions, Social Skills & Emotional Regulation. Sarah is also EMDR trained therapist and is in the process of getting her EMDR certification. Sarah strives to create a warm, accepting, creative, and exploratory environment for all clients.
