Theresa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years experience in the mental health field. During that time she has worked with at risk -children, adolescents and their families. For the past ten years Theresa's primary focus has been in private practice supporting individuals, couples, and families through the challenges that life presents. Theresa specializes in helping people manage anxiety, stress, life transitions, and relationship struggles with a strong focus on emotional wellness and personal growth.
Theresa's therapeutic style is warm, non-judgmental, and person centered. She integrates techniques from cognitive -behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. She also is a credentialed Sandtray Therapist which allows for creativity and an alternative approach to talk therapy. She aims to create a safe environment that will foster skill development and emotional coping.
Outside of the office Theresa is a parent of two who enjoys gardening, camping, and cheering on my favorite sports teams. She values quality time, a good book, and staying grounded in the moments that matter most.
